Chavez preparations for the fight against Martinez.

According to the Freddie Roach who is the trainer of the world champion and one of the best middleweight fighters Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., the boxer is working out when he wants without any prepared schedule. This shocking information that was revealed by his trainer gives us to understand that Chavez is not taking very serious the fight he is going to take part in on September 15 th at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Roach is not very happy about the fact that there is not set schedule as sometimes Chavez calls him at 2 o’clock in the morning and asks to go to the gym. But he states that it is okay until they do what they have to do. Trainer confessed that in order to win the fight Chavez vs Martinez he needs to work a little bit harder. Unfortunately Martinez does not have a natural instinct of fighter and it means that he should compensate it by harder trainings.

Julio Cesar Chavez was arrested for driving drunk on January 22, 2012. The incident occurred in Los Angeles, California, and instantly made the international headlines. The tale of the tape was that Chavez faced three separate misdemeanor charges. Two were for drunk driving, while a third stemmed from being arrested while driving without a valid license. This last charge was the most serious of the three.

After this statement it was seen on Roach’s face that he was more than a little bugged by Julio Jr’s training habits. But it does not mean that trainer is going to make any noise about that just because he is still getting success notwithstanding on his odd work habits. However the lion share of this success comes from his huge weight benefit each time he fights. It is clear that if the boxer comes for the fight weighting 20 pounds over the average weight for the division, it is evidently that you will have an advantage over the most guys. Moreover, during the whole his professional career Chavez did not fight anyone such good as Sergio Martinez or Gennady Golovkin. He had faced with Andy Lee, John Duddy, Marco Antonio Rubio, Peter Manfredo Jr. and Sebastian Zbik but he had never fought against the boxers who could really be on the top of middleweight division. We’ll have to see whether Chavez with his weight advantage would be able to defeat quick Martinez on September 15 th.
